About This Certification

The IC&RC Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ADC) credential is an internationally recognized certification for addiction counseling professionals. It demonstrates competency in screening, assessment, treatment planning, counseling, case management, and continuing care for individuals with substance use disorders.

Exam Overview

The ADC examination consists of 150 multiple-choice questions (125 scored) based on the ADC Examination Content Outline. The exam has a 3-hour time limit and is administered at Pearson VUE testing centers or remotely.
