About This Certification

The NAPLEX is the standardized licensure examination required for pharmacist licensure across all U.S. states and territories. It assesses a candidate's ability to apply pharmaceutical knowledge and clinical judgment to ensure safe and effective patient care in diverse pharmacy practice settings.

Exam Overview

The NAPLEX consists of 250 questions (225 scored, 25 pre-test) with a 6-hour time limit. Questions are scenario-based and include traditional multiple-choice, select-all-that-apply, ordered-response, and constructed-response formats, administered via computer adaptive testing.
